Mapo Tofu

Simple cooking steps

Cut the tofu into small cubes. In a pot of water, add some salt and a splash of soy sauce, then gently simmer the tofu cubes for a short while. This step helps the tofu absorb flavor and makes it firmer so it doesn’t break easily. Drain the tofu and set it aside.

In a pan, heat some oil and fry ground beef until it’s golden and crispy. Add half a pack of pre-made Mapo Tofu seasoning mix and stir-fry until fragrant. Then, carefully add the boiled tofu cubes and half a cup of water. Let the tofu and sauce cook together so the flavors meld perfectly. Finally, mix some cornstarch with water and add it to the pan. This will thicken the sauce to your desired consistency. Once the dish is ready, enjoy it hot!
